A Metal Minute

This month, I want to dedicate the Metal Minute to the 70,000 amazing members of Metalheads Forever. You are the most incredible group of people that I have ever had the honor to be a part of. When you saw that we have lost one of our own, you didn’t continue on your way, or just scroll on by. No, members took the time to send their condolences and some even shared small memories of our dear friend, Werner.

I do not believe, for one moment, that the people in this group are simply here to pass the time. We are a family, united by a love of music and respect for one another. We have our differences, yes, as is obvious by the random genre wars or band-bashing that the admin team has to hammer down, but otherwise it is a community. A huge, absolutely fantastic group of people that have come together in a time when others would probably turn their attention to other things.

I want to thank you, every single one of you, for taking the time to send a message, share memory, post a special song, or anything else that you may have done to help bring some comfort to those who knew him, and those who never had the chance. Werner was a loving, kind, positive man who had a passion for coffee, metal, and his friends. There was nothing you couldn’t ask him in regard to those topics that he wouldn’t ensure some sort of an answer to. There were times when his bright, shining smile in a music post would be the only time I myself smiled that day. We are very lucky to have known him; but I will also state that we, this family, will continue on and grow; we will reach beyond the stars and he will know that we remember him.

There are many more things that I would like to say, but I think that sharing some music would be the best way to say thank you to the members of this group, as well as the Admin team, for proving once again that it is more than bloodlines that create a family.

Once a metalhead, a metalhead forever. Metal on Loud.
